Expressivo is a free online text to speech service that allows you to enter a text of 200 english characters and be read out in four different voices (1 male and 3 females) speaking in 3 languages viz English, Romanian and Polish. Once the text is read out you can post a short link to the spoken text in an email, IM or publish it on a blog or forum. You can also enter the text directly in the web browser address bar without entering it in the text box. But this works only for short texts. Another feature  of the site is it lets you download the generated speech (in mp3 format) to your PC for reference.

Using this service you can wish your friend a birthday by sending him the link which contains the greetings – the selected voice will read out the greetings for free.
