Social Bookmarking system or network has become quite popular in recent years. Social bookmarking has more recently inspired the more successful social news movement which includes sites like del.icio.us, reddit, Digg and the new Netscape portal. As the competition for bookmarking services increases it is good to know the best in the business. Thankfully eBizMBA has produced a list of the Top 20 Social Bookmarking Sites out there on the Internet ranked by a combination of Compete and Quantcast data. Each site is ranked based on the Unique Monthly Visitors (United States).

It’s quite surprising to know that only US traffic information is taken into account for the Ranking when there are substantial number of visitors to these sites from other countries also.

There is no surprise for the first spot, as expected goes to digg.com. But #2 is a shocker, it is Netscape averaging about 8,712,399 unique monthly visitors. Here’s the full list sorted according to the ranks.
